A Ares Management, credora da Eagle Football, empresa de John Textor, concedeu um per\u00edodo de 12 meses para n\u00e3o executar garantias contratuais devido ao n\u00e3o pagamento de uma d\u00edvida bilion\u00e1ria. O Empr\u00e9stimo<\/a>, realizado em 2022, totalizou aproximadamente 450 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares (cerca de R$ 2,5 bilh\u00f5es na cota\u00e7\u00e3o atual), segundo informa\u00e7\u00f5es do jornal ingl\u00eas Financial Times. A Eagle Football n\u00e3o conseguiu honrar o compromisso financeiro.<\/p>\n

Prazo e Condi\u00e7\u00f5es da D\u00edvida<\/h2>\n

Essa toler\u00e2ncia tempor\u00e1ria permite que a Eagle continue suas opera\u00e7\u00f5es enquanto reestrutura suas finan\u00e7as e atende a condi\u00e7\u00f5es espec\u00edficas estabelecidas pela Ares. Com isso, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 exig\u00eancia de pagamento imediato, nem a possibilidade de a credora assumir o controle dos ativos do grupo, que incluem participa\u00e7\u00f5es em clubes de Futebol<\/a>. O prazo estipulado para regulariza\u00e7\u00e3o da situa\u00e7\u00e3o se encerra em setembro de 2026.<\/p>\n

A d\u00edvida \u00e9 composta por empr\u00e9stimos com altos custos, cujos juros variam entre 16% e 22% ao ano. Ela \u00e9 garantida por ativos do grupo, incluindo participa\u00e7\u00f5es no Lyon<\/a>, Botafogo<\/a><\/b> e Molenbeek. Em julho, a parte da Eagle no Crystal Palace<\/a> foi vendida por 190 milh\u00f5es de libras (R$ 1,4 bilh\u00e3o), com parte desse valor sendo destinada \u00e0 Ares.<\/p>\n

A medida da Ares evita a execu\u00e7\u00e3o imediata dos ativos, proporcionando um f\u00f4lego financeiro para a Eagle. No entanto, a press\u00e3o para a regulariza\u00e7\u00e3o da d\u00edvida no pr\u00f3ximo ano se mant\u00e9m. Caso o grupo falhe em cumprir as exig\u00eancias, o fundo credor poder\u00e1 assumir o controle dos ativos garantidos.<\/p>\n

Segundo o Financial Times, a Eagle Football deve \u00e0 Ares aproximadamente 300 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares (R$ 1,7 bilh\u00e3o) em d\u00edvidas de “pagamento em esp\u00e9cie” com juros anuais de 16%. Al\u00e9m disso, h\u00e1 135 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares (R$ 743 milh\u00f5es) com taxa de 18% e uma linha de cr\u00e9dito de 27 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares (R$ 148 milh\u00f5es) com custo anual de 22% para a Eagle Football.<\/p>\n

No momento, a Ares n\u00e3o demonstra interesse em gerenciar clubes de Futebol<\/a>, o que motivou a concess\u00e3o de tempo para a reorganiza\u00e7\u00e3o da Eagle. Contudo, h\u00e1 uma vigil\u00e2ncia atenta sobre o processo de reestrutura\u00e7\u00e3o financeira nos pr\u00f3ximos meses.<\/p>\n
