A menos de duas semanas para o in\u00edcio da Temporada 2025<\/a>-26 da NBA<\/a>, o armador Russell Westbrook<\/b> segue como Agente<\/a> livre. Apesar de ter sido especulado no Sacramento Kings<\/a>, seu futuro na liga ainda \u00e9 incerto.<\/p>\n

Uma possibilidade para Westbrook seria um reencontro com seu ex-time, o Houston Rockets<\/a>. A equipe texana tem uma clara necessidade de um armador veterano ap\u00f3s a Les\u00e3o<\/a> de Fred<\/a> VanVleet<\/b>, que sofreu uma ruptura de ligamento no joelho. Um acerto com Westbrook tamb\u00e9m significaria uma reuni\u00e3o com o astro Kevin Durant<\/b>, com quem atuou no Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Em participa\u00e7\u00e3o no programa “Up & Adams” nesta quarta-feira, Durant comentou a possibilidade de jogar novamente ao lado de Westbrook.<\/p>\n

Durant exalta Westbrook e n\u00e3o descarta reencontro<\/h2>\n

“Russ \u00e9 uma lenda. Ele merece estar na NBA<\/a> agora e sair da liga em seus pr\u00f3prios termos. Sim, seria incr\u00edvel (o reencontro). Mas a decis\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9 minha. Deixo isso para quem toma essas decis\u00f5es”, declarou Durant.<\/p>\n

Durant, que chegou ao Houston Rockets nesta offseason vindo do Phoenix Suns<\/a>, teve uma sa\u00edda conturbada do Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> em 2016, quando se transferiu para o Golden State Warriors<\/a>. Durant e Westbrook foram companheiros por oito temporadas na equipe de Oklahoma, chegando a disputar as Finais da NBA na temporada 2011-12.<\/p>\n

Desde que foi trocado do Oklahoma City para Houston em 2019, Westbrook passou por cinco equipes: Rockets, Washington Wizards<\/a>, Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>, Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> e Denver Nuggets<\/a>. Na \u00faltima temporada, Westbrook disputou 75 jogos com o time de Denver, com m\u00e9dias de 13,3 pontos, 6,1 assist\u00eancias e 4,9 rebotes em 27,9 minutos por partida. Ele terminou em s\u00e9timo lugar na vota\u00e7\u00e3o para o pr\u00eamio de Sexto Homem do Ano pelo segundo ano consecutivo.<\/p>\n

An\u00e1lise: Houston adiciona Westbrook?<\/h2>\n

O Houston Rockets apostou alto nesta offseason ao adquirir Durant. Embora n\u00e3o tenha hipotecado seu futuro, o movimento teve como objetivo elevar o patamar de uma equipe que foi eliminada na primeira rodada dos playoffs da \u00faltima temporada pelos Warriors.<\/p>\n

Com VanVleet fora por tempo indeterminado, o Rockets precisa definir sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o titular. Durant, Amen Thompson<\/b>, Jabari Smith Jr.<\/b> e Alperen \u015eeng\u00fcn<\/b> devem iniciar a temporada como titulares. No entanto, a quinta vaga pode ficar em aberto.<\/p>\n

A equipe pode escalar Thompson para assumir mais responsabilidades na arma\u00e7\u00e3o, abrindo uma vaga no garraf\u00e3o para nomes como Dorian Finney-Smith<\/b> ou Tari Eason<\/b>. Com a aus\u00eancia de VanVleet, o desenvolvimento de Sheppard pode ser acelerado.
