Joan Laporta<\/b>, presidente do Barcelona<\/a>, participou da Assembleia Geral da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Clubes Europeus (ECA) em Roma, um evento presidido por Nasser Al-Khelaifi. A presen\u00e7a de Laporta marca um poss\u00edvel passo para um distanciamento do projeto da Superliga, com uma aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o vis\u00edvel em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 ECA, demonstrada na recente reuni\u00e3o entre os clubes na Liga dos Campe\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

Laporta, acompanhado pelo vice-presidente Rafa Yuste, foi recebido por Al-Khelaifi no lobby do hotel onde ocorrem as assembleias. Embora o Barcelona<\/a><\/b> ainda n\u00e3o seja membro oficial da ECA, as conversas indicam uma proximidade crescente entre o clube catal\u00e3o e a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o. Durante o encontro, os clubes europeus reafirmaram sua posi\u00e7\u00e3o contr\u00e1ria \u00e0 Superliga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A ECA tem colaborado com a UEFA na elabora\u00e7\u00e3o do novo formato da Liga dos Campe\u00f5es<\/a><\/b> e na consolida\u00e7\u00e3o de suas receitas por meio de uma nova joint venture. A expectativa \u00e9 que Laporta, ap\u00f3s participar do jantar de gala e retornar a Barcelona<\/a>, incorpore o clube \u00e0 ECA. Com isso, o Real Madrid<\/a><\/b> se manteria como o \u00fanico grande clube europeu fora da associa\u00e7\u00e3o e principal defensor da Superliga.<\/p>\n

Laporta reencontrar\u00e1 Aleksander \u010ceferin, presidente da UEFA, que abriu o evento reunindo mais de 800 clubes europeus. Tanto a ECA quanto a UEFA reiteram que o modelo atual da Liga dos Campe\u00f5es ser\u00e1 mantido, sem planos para migrar para um formato similar ao proposto pela Superliga. \u010ceferin mencionou em seu discurso que existem “tentativas externas de propor uma mudan\u00e7a de modelo”, mas enfatizou que “tudo ser\u00e1 feito com unidade”.<\/p>\n

A Juventus<\/b> j\u00e1 havia deixado o projeto da Superliga para se juntar \u00e0 ECA h\u00e1 dois anos. A situa\u00e7\u00e3o do Barcelona permanece em observa\u00e7\u00e3o, enquanto o Real Madrid se posiciona como o principal articulador da Superliga. Anteriormente, o Barcelona obteve, de forma excepcional, permiss\u00e3o da UEFA para disputar uma partida de La Liga contra o Villarreal em Miami.<\/p>\n

Pouco antes da chegada de Laporta, Miguel \u00c1ngel Gil, membro do Comit\u00ea Executivo da UEFA e da ECA, tamb\u00e9m esteve presente em Roma. Diversos outros clubes espanh\u00f3is foram representados na assembleia, incluindo Villarreal, Athletic Club, Real Sociedad, Deportivo, Zaragoza e Betis, demonstrando a ampla participa\u00e7\u00e3o do futebol espanhol nos debates sobre o futuro do esporte.<\/p>\n
